Beauty and the Beast Jr.

École Mother Teresa Catholic School showcased Beauty and the Beast Jr. in the Fine Arts Room on March 14 and 15.

The Beauty and the Beast Jr. tells a story of an enchantress who turns cruel and turns the Prince into a hideous beast. To break the spell, the beast must learn to loved and be loved before the last petal falls from an enchanted rose.

Seussical the Musical

École Secondaire Notre Dame High School fine arts students presented Seussical the Musical at the Red Deer Memorial Centre on February 9, 10 & 11 at 7:00 p.m. There also was a matinee on February 11 at 1:00 p.m.

Seussical brings some of our favourite Dr. Seuss stories and characters to life. The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton who protects an abandoned egg left by Mayzie La Bird and trying to convince the jungle creatures that Whoville does exist. The performance shows the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community.

The Lion King Jr.

St. Francis of Assisi Middle School showcased the musical production The Lion King Jr. at the Memorial Centre on March 3 and 4.
