September 15, 2021 Update

Update

Given the Government of Alberta's most recent announcement on September 15, 2021, we are now under a State of Public Health Emergency. Information was shared by Premier Kenney related to new measures to mitigate the transmission of COVID-19.

Senior administration and school principals met this evening to discuss the measures as they relate to school operations. Superintendents will meet with the Deputy Minister of Education tomorrow morning, while Board Chairs will meet with the Minister of Education to discuss the school year update as it relates to the public health emergency.

Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools will announce adjustments to our School Re-Entry Plan following the conclusion of these meetings. The RDCRS adjustments will reflect the new guidelines for schools.

We are asking parents at this time to contact their school administration to arrange any required meetings until we have a better understanding of what the latest public health measures will mean for our staff and students.
