Holy Trinity Catholic School hosts poverty simulation
Last Friday, Holy Trinity Catholic School - Olds staff took part in a powerful Poverty Simulation with colleagues from École Olds High School,Ecole Deer Meadow School stepping into the shoes of families facing difficult economic realities.
This experience helped raise awareness, build empathy, and inspire hope within our school community.
Thank you to Olds FCSS ( Family and Community Support Services) and United Way Central Alberta for sponsoring this event.
“This was my second time experiencing the Poverty Simulation, and it was just as powerful. It creates awareness, understanding, and compassion for the many barriers faced by those in our community who only want what is best for their families,” said Holy Trinity teacher Katie Feeney.
