Third Sunday of Advent (Joy)

The Third Sunday of Advent symbolizes Joy. The Shepherd’s Candle reminds us of the joy the world experienced at the coming birth of Jesus. We celebrate with joy that our hope in Christ is certain and prophecies about him are always fulfilled.

As the angels proclaimed to the shepherds "do not be afraid; for see—I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people: to you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is the Messiah, the Lord" (Luke 2: 10-11). This week let us choose to share that joy with others in doing one act of kindness for another.
